I earned my Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. I also have an Associate's degree in voice/music. I have an extensive background in education having worked as both a teacher and in administration. I spent 8 years teaching business, life and academic success skills, ESOL, government, US history, vocabulary, tutoring, and customer service at the college level. I find that learning about a student's habits inside and outside of the classroom is a valuable tool in figuring out how to teach an individual in a way that meets their personal needs. I have worked with both honors students and exceptional students in various subjects from K-12. My experience has taught me that the most important part of ensuring a student's success is to build confidence by finding their strengths and creating connections between subjects hey already know well and any new material. Using this technique, each student has the potential for academic success. My background allows me to tutor in a variety of subjects too large to fully list and spans grades K-college. When I'm not tutoring, I love to travel and spend time outdoors.
